Technical Support
My Device offers Complete System Design and Consultation services.
if the project you are undertaking is too large or too complex or not something you do everyday, let us help you.
Convenience & Expertise
We are the One Source for all Your Electronics Needs!
My Device can help design, coordinate, and manage all sub systems and infrastructure for your particular project. We can provide CAD drawings to document all the systems, to work in coordination with the electrical and mechanical designs. This saves the architect time, not only drawing time but also the time spent collecting equipment and specifications, electrical requirements, space considerations, etc. allowing him or her to do what he or she does best!
The CAD drawings provide the builder, electrician, cabinet maker, etc. the information each needs to ensure the electronic systems look and function as intended.
System Performance
We See the Big Picture!
In the same manner that the architect designs the house as a whole concept rather than designing each room in a vacuum and then hoping the overall look is consistent and fluent. My Device designs, programs and commissions all the selected sub systems as a complete entity. They must all work as one!
Project Coordination
We Specialize in System Integration!
With My Devices expertise in all facets of residential/commercial electronics, all technical coordination can be centralised with us instead of each company working on its own area, e.g., Home Theatre, Lighting Control, Communications, Audio/Video, Energy Management, etc. This will save time and headaches, as well as provide quick resolution to issues if they arise. My Device becomes the technology “HUB” for all trades on the project, shifting all these demands to My Device and freeing time previously spent by the architect and builder. We help coordinate the visions and respond to the concerns of the architect, designer, builder, and homeowner regarding technology. A single source of responsibility!
Your Electronic Architect
Save Time and Money!
If My Device is among the first consultants called in the early planning phase of the project, we can prevent many mistakes from happening by helping to coordinate the proper sub system selections. In order to accomplish this custom solution concept, we need to work closely together to understand the clients lifestyle. With our help, your end product will meet the clients expectations!
In essence, My Device has become the “Electronic Architect” and the “Technical General Contractor” all rolled into one. Our performance and service will save everyone on the job a considerable amount of time and money. We will all be working together and this will result in the creation of a better product for the end client.
Process
Design & Engineering
Imagine the results you would expect if you just dove into your building experience headlong with no planning and no blueprint… As strange as that sounds, that’s exactly the way some companies go about the complex process of selling and installing home electronics systems. “Here’s a great home theater package—we used it at the Jones’ house down the road last year… just sign here and we’ll send the installers out to wire your house.” While this approach might be adequate for spec homes that all have similar floor plans and budgets, we find that many clients expect (and many homes deserve) more than a cookie-cutter approach to electronics system design. If this describes you and your home, add Live Digital to your design team and your project will benefit greatly!
We start with a FREE initial consultation, which consists of a thorough Project Analysis as we help you explore the scope and definition of your clients needs, wants, and wishes. The goal of this meeting is to make sure that we can satisfy the clients expectations within their budget.
Once these basic parameters are established, we will work alongside the architect, builder, interior and lighting designers, and you to make sure the finished product reflects tasteful use of technology meant to serve the client, not to draw attention to itself.
Implementation Stage
Architects are usually involved in the design and refurbishment of the home from the start of the project.
We at My Device believe it is important to be a ble to utilise all of the relevant trades and standards that are used whilst a project is being undertaken. It gi ves us the tools to be able to accurately talk and be part of the design process. We use the CAD drawings and add the system design layout onto these. This helps us finely tune the customer’s requirements and inform all the involved trades with the end client’s aims.
My Device team members will interact with the Electrical Contractor, Plumber, Landscaper, Security Contractor, etc... all the relevant trades to ensure the subsystems tie together as designed.
Project Management
We prefer to be involved in all aspects of the project. One important factor is the time scale. We use Gant charts to help us organise the planning of the project. We like to make regular checks on the development to ensure all the relevant cabling is being run to the correct points about the house. Equally there are times when additional requirements are desired by the client. We can advise if this is possible and what the best solution would be.
Equally as important, is for the client to be dealing with one person throughout the project. The project manager would liase with the client on all aspects of the project and he/she would be responsible for making sure all relevant groups/parties are up dated with any changes made during the project.
Customer Hand Over
Customer hand over is as it suggests, is the final stage of the project.
Prior to the final hand over, the system would be commissioned and programmed to a usable level i.e. the system would be as user friendly as possible and offering the client the opportunity to experiment with the system. At a later stage My Device would finalise the systems user interface to the end clients lifestyle requirements.
In our extensive experience, this has proven to be the key to the success of any installations.
In addition we offer a maintenance contract that offers added piece of mind.
